Ellen Rogers

Ellen Rogers is a London based fashion photographer with a beautiful difference. She only shoots analogue. There are no digital processes used in her photographs, except for scanning them in at the end. Like most people working with film, her processes were found through experimenting with film, and now she has it down it a T.
The result is stunning. The ethereal imagery full of stunning landscapes filled with spirits and spectres co-existing with the ‘real subject’. Most of her photographs include seemingly un-natural beauties that draw you in with innocent eyes, and add to the otherworldly feel of her images.

Charlotte Gainsbourg, for Another magazine.

Whilst having a look around the Another Mag site yesterday I found a gorgeous interview with Charlotte Gainsbourg, about her life, work and influences throughout her career.

I’ve always admired Charlotte, not only for her beauty but her talent as a singer/songwriter and actress. I found this interview very honest and had some really interesting questions that you never usually see asked. It also had a beautifully shot video and some really stunning photographs to go along side the article. I’d really recommend having a look!

I cannot wait for Melancholia to come out this year, directed by Lars Von Trier and starring Charlotte, Kirsten Dunst, and Kiefer Sutherland. After how well it did at the Cannes film festival (despite the Nazi incident).

Hop Farm

This Summer i went to the Hop Farm festival in Kent with my boyfriend, our friends Gabriella and Stan, and ended up running in to our other friend Nick. I can honestly say it was one of the best weekend's of my life.

This was the first festival i had been to in my 21 years (lame i know) so i was slightly nervous as i'm not the happiest camper. However all the porter loo's were clean and fully stocked with loo roll, which was brilliant. There were no fights, no stealing (that i was aware of) or general naughtiness that you here about from other festival's, The whole experience was full off amazing music and great people!

There is no sponsorship or branding, which was really refreshing and it was so eco-friendly, each evening the felids were cleared of debris there was no glass around, the toilets were manned and cleaned and it was full of veggie and vegan friendly treats! Yum!

and the line up.... i nearly had a heart attack when my boyfriend told me who was playing and there was no way i would have missed it!

The line up:
Iggy pop
Morrisey
Patti smith
Aloe black (the sharpest man on earth)
Lou reed
Tinnie Tempah (Guilty pleasure of mine)
Larry Graham and Graham Central Station
PRINCE!

I grew up listening to Prince and all of the above, so it really was a dream come true getting to see them all on one weekend. I recommend to anyone who is a first time festival goer, that Hop Farm is a great Festival to ease yourself in!

And here's some pictures...

Vanessa Jackman.

I found these lovely pictures on a blog by Vanessa Jackman (http://vanessajackman.blogspot.com). Sydney born lawyer turned photographer has been published in magazines world wide and with judging from the picture's above it's not hard to see why.

I loved the styling in this photo set for the behind the scenes at the MiH jeans SS12 lookbook. With feminine tailoring, light weight knits and a 50's influence, for me detailed the perfect transition from Summer to Autumn. There are nautical knits and shirts, a trend which always repeats each season, and give a look effortless style. The simple tailoring and warm browns and creams, give the feeling of preparing the winter wardrobe, with a hint of blues keep it fresh.

The model is the gorgeous BeeGee from Lithuania, her heart shaped face and cat like eyes suit the style perfectly, and the ambient lighting keeps the feel of the photo's it soft and subtle. Giving the shots a real feminine edge.

I adore them, what do you think.

Superdry new Campaign

HEEEEELLO Superdry! They have really upped the anti for their AW11 campaign.

Now obviously I am slightly biased, however I am so proud of all my colleagues that worked incredibly hard to pull it all together!

The new AW11 collection is full of amazing knits, Denim to rival Levi's and the essential leathers and fine tailoring that make all winter wardrobes. And when worn by Clara Paget, louis simonon (son of the clash guitarist Paul Simonon) and up and coming faces Hanna Sorheim and Tom Barker, you've got a winning campaign.

Already it's been picked up by Vogue as one of the top Campaign's for AW11, as well as being on some of the best fashion blogs around. Certainly BRING SUPERDRY UP FROM A HIGH STREET BRAND AND MAKING ITSELF KNOWN ON THE 'FASHION' RADAR.

Liz Earle Love.

I've been using Liz Earle for about 8 months now and words cannot describe how amazing it is. But here goes...

Hot Polish Cleanse: I found it slightly weird using a cream that didn't foam at first but when you wash it off with the muslim cloth, my Skin felt smooth and clean (just like when i use an exfoliator). My skin also didn't feel dry and tight after i had washed it, which was so lovely, i felt that all the natural moisture and goodness hadn't been stripped out of my face.

Instant Boost Skin Tonic: So refreshing and soothing. It smells gorgeous and really calms my skin down after a day of full make up, and doesn't leave a sticky residue after use. It dries instantly and leaves my skin feeling fresh as a daisy.

Skin Repair Moisturiser: Skins in almost straight away, and feels light and nourishing on my skin. Again it smells lovely, and my skin feels really hydrated after use.

Gentle Exfoliator: I adore this product! It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth, but without the dry and tight feeling that usually comes after exfoliating. It's beads are very small so it doesn't feel to harsh, and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and nourished.

Spot on (The miracle in a tiny bottle): It get's rid of bites, spots, rashes, and heals cuts. I now carry mine everywhere! If you feel and on-coming mountain appearing on your face apply and it will halt the menace in it's track. It abolishes mosquito bites' in a night and help cuts and rashes heal as fast as lightning. It truly is a necessity in any girls make-up bag!

I use all these products' every day, and i have had maybe 5/6 spots within 8 months. My skin looks healthy without make-up, with little to no pores and shine, and with make up it looks smooth and almost perfect. I can't recommend Liz Earle enough, for all skin types there is a product and because the use only natural ingredients, there is nothing in there it irritate or harm.
